I loved my Amiga. You could accomplish a lot in 512K. Cost me $3000 in 1981 and another $1100 to get it up to a meg, but I put out a monthly disc for a local users' group. In one of these discs filled with art, programs and text I waxed euphoric about the possibility of sitting on a beach one day with a battery powered machine with a cell phone connection to the fledgling internet. You obviously made good use of yours and are to be commended. Bravo!

Thirty years on and several of orders of magnitude more powerful machines exist and yet the art still stands up and can be appreciated in a group like DA.

This piece is from 2005? I cannot believe that it did not receive more recognition over these years. The display of textures and it was only created with 32 colours. It's lovely! :D Instant fav!

Holy crap.

This is the best piece of pixel art I have ever seen.

32 colors, and it doesn't even look pixeled!

You, my dear, are amazing. And I don't say that about just anyone.

Seriously.

This definitely IS a stunning piece, but there were MANY artists of this caliber in the Amiga demo scene back in the day that could pixel this well with a 32 colour palette.

Its a lost talent that can still be found at events like Breakpoint in Germany and Assembly in Finland where they still use Amiga's to produce such work :)

So I haven't commented on this yet? I thought I would have. It's really a stunning piece, making great use of dithering and textures. Just the right edge of the picture looks a bit strange to me being as dark as it is.
